SheerWeave FAQ's

Q: How are these fabrics cleaned?
A: Easy to maintain, all SheerWeave styles except 7000 can be cleaned using a mild detergent, brushing and rinsing. For Style 7000, fabric should be regularly dusted/vacuumed as appropriate. If commercial spot cleaners are used, they must first be tested and allowed to dry on an inconspicuous area, to ensure compatibility.

Q: Do these products come with a warranty?
A: Yes, Phifer offers a limited warranty on SheerWeave products.

Q: What is the GREENGUARD® Environmental Institute / GREENGUARD Certification?
A: The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) is an independent, third party, unbiased non-profit organization founded to create healthier indoor environments, improving public health and quality of life by testing and certifying low chemical-emitting products and materials and helping manufacturers build better and safer products. All products certified by GEI must pass a series of rigorous emissions tests and undergo quarterly tests as well as annual re-certification to ensure their low emission status is maintained.

According to GEI, "[Children] consume more food, water, and have higher inhalation rates per pound of body weight than adults." Therefore, the GREENGUARD Children & Schools Product Certification Program has added to its current approved emission levels a "burden correction factor" to account for children’s greater exposure to environmental toxins. For GREENGUARD Children & Schools Certification, GEI acts in accordance with the State of California’s Department of Health Services Standard Practice (CA Section 01350) for testing chemical emissions from building products, indoor materials and furnishings used in schools.
